myDEWETRA.world is an open-source web GIS system for real-time early warning through monitoring and forecasting of natural hazards like floods, droughts, landslides and wildfires. The application is designed to be a decision support tool as single point of access to a wealth of information and data available at global, regional and national scale, provided by multiple authoritative institutions and agencies involved in disaster risk management. Its IT architecture systematically organizes data and information, allowing for a wide range of users to access, share and integrate both time-varying data and static layers in real-time.

myDEWETRA.world is subject of an Agreement among the Italian Department of Civil Protection and the World Meteorological Organization and is available to every country under request. The platform combines scientific knowledge, methodologies, and the standardization of operating procedures. It is subject to continuous research and development to meet the needs of meteo-hydrological services and disaster risk managers. Customization or improvements are possible if they remain open-source and can be considered to suit specific needs.

The cloud configuration of myDEWETRA.world is well-suited for operational use where a physical installation is not recommended. While the myDEWETRA.world cloud storage is guaranteed by Italian Department for Civil Protection after projects deadline as per agreement mentioned above, ad hoc model developments are subject to funds availability for computational storage and technical assistance needs.
